12 Romantic Days of Christmas

Why not try and bring the romance back in to your relationship this Christmas, with a few tips and pointers from Surprise your Lover. Being romantic doesn’t have to be difficult; with these small but incredible romantic ideas you can make your Christmas the best yet!

Traditionally the twelve days of Christmas starts on Christmas day evening, but you can make your twelve days any time, throughout the Christmas period.

On the twelve days of Christmas my true love gave to me…

Day 1 - Love Token Book

All you need for this is 6 small sheets of paper of paper, a pen and a stapler. On each piece of paper write what the token will give the receiver; for example, A Foot Massage or Slave for a Day. Present the book of tokens to your partner on the first day and let them know they expire by the 12th day.

Day 2 - Love Messages

Take some post-it notes and write love messages on them; keep them short and sweet and place them around the home. Hide some so that she will find them unexpectedly.

Day 3 - Breakfast in Bed

Wake up early and prepare her favourite breakfast and serve with their favourite newspaper/magazine. Why not add some champagne for the perfect morning treat.

Day 4 - Strawberries and Champagne

Today we are going to make her a gift set, filled with Strawberries, Chocolate body paint, Champagne and a copy of the Karma Sutra; a treat you both will enjoy.

Day 5 - Love Poetry

Write her a love poem to show her how much you care. Poetry is a very traditional way to tell someone just how you feel and if you struggle to think of the words, you could always borrow a poem from one of the famous romantic poets; try your local library or the internet.

Day 6 - Romantic Journey

Whisk her away on a magical romantic tour; take her to all the places which have meant something special to you both. The place you first met, where you had your first kiss or the place you proposed.
