Planning the perfect date can be tricky, but you don’t need to spend too much time worrying about it; if you enjoy each others company, the date should go perfectly no matter what you choose.

First you need to decide what type of date you want to have. Fun and exciting or quiet and romantic? The choice of date can usually be determined by the type of person your partner is and what stage your relationship is at.

Whatever you choose to do; remember to keep it simple and entertaining and you won’t go far wrong. Here are a few of my favourite date ideas which might help you to plan the perfect date:

Quiet and Romantic

  • romantic restaurantThe cinema is always enjoyable, the smell of fresh popcorn your favourite ice cream. Try to pick something light hearted, something you both will enjoy, maybe a comedy romance?
  • Romantic dinner for two in her favourite restaurant; good food and a welcoming atmosphere will always go down well.
  • Pack up a picnic and whisk her away to the countryside; pick somewhere with picturesque walks and trails, so you can explore when the picnic has finished.
  • Canal boat or river trips usually can be booked with evening meals. These trips can be very romantic in the right location; sit back and enjoy the views.
  • A trip to the seaside is a great date idea. Go by train so you both can relax and enjoy the ride. A glass of wine is the perfect way to get in the mood, during the journey. You can then enjoy romantic walks along the sea front and breathe in the wonderful sea air.

Ten pin bowlingFun and Exciting

  • Ten pin bowling is fun and enjoyed by most people, only play a couple of games (as I find a third game starts to get a bit boring). Enjoy a drink or two while you play and finish with a trip to the burger bar. Just remember to let her win!!!
  • Laser Quest is great! You will both have a fantastic time hiding and shooting each other. You can then stop in a bar for a few drinks on your way home.
  • Go-karting is a great date idea. Whizzing around the track, racing each other this should get the heart racing.
  • Paint-balling can be a great ice breaker. Go with a few friends and you will both have a great time. Remember not to play too rough, it is easy to get carried away in the action!
  • Why not arrange a ski or snowboarding lesson; you will have a great time watching each other fall over.
  • There are loads of theme parks up and down the country. You can have a great date here, as there are lots of thrills and spills to keep you entertained.

Remember to relax and enjoy each others company; stressing about the date will only make you both uncomfortable.

Good luck with your romantic date experiences.

Romeo.
