Next in our series of romantic getaways is England’s capital city - London! London is the perfect place for romantic getaway; with all its history and attractions, you will need to make a weekend of it! See the sights, catch a show and participate in some serious romancing!

Here are a few ideas to fit in as much as possible, on your getaway to historic and romantic city of London.

In order to keep the weekend a surprise from your partner, do not tell her until the night before. Ring your girlfriend; tell her to pack a bag for the morning and prepare for a big surprise.

Day 1:

Take the train to the romantic city of London - this will allow you to relax and enjoy each others company. You can also enjoy a romantic breakfast on the trip; why not treat her to some champagne?

Check into your hotel and then get ready for a full day of fun!

Start the weekend by making your way to Embankment Pier for the Bateaux Lunch Cruise. Enjoy the fantastic views on the River Thames and enjoy some great food. If you don’t like boat trips, you could a ride on the London Eye which takes you 135 metres above the River Thames - see parts of London you will never see on foot.

You can follow this by the world famous “Original London Sightseeing Tour”. Enjoy a romantic trip around London on an open top red bus, visiting the famous sights of London like Buckingham Place, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

In the afternoon, you can spend your time in some of London famous attractions. Why not try Madame Tussands; mingling with A-list stars like Kylie or Robbie Williams - have your photos taken with the stars. If you prefer something a little scarier, you could venture to London Dungeons and come face to face with Jack the Ripper - she will be holding you tight for the entire trip!

In the evening, you have a massive choice of romantic restaurants to choose from! You could dine in the roof gardens at the famous London restaurant Babylon; it has amazing views, real Flamingos wandering the gardens and it’s very own night club to dance the night away (open weekends only).

If you are looking for something a less pricey, but still want to eat in style; why not try Ping Pong in Soho. It’s a Dim Sum Restaurant with stylish décor serving great cocktails and flower teas.

You can now head back to your hotel and enjoy the rest of your evening together.
