Romantic ways to propose

Bookmark and Share

Asking someone to marry you can be very frightening experience, especially if you are not sure what they will say. Once you have made the decision to pop the question you need to make it as special as you possibly can, to ensure the answer is Yes, Yes, Yes!

You don’t have to spend a fortune to make your proposal romantic! Here are a few ideas to make your proposal as romantic as possible, without spending the earth: Engagement ring

  • Take your girlfriend to her favourite restaurant and arrange for the waiter to bring out the ring with a single red rose at the end of the meal. Get down on one knee and pop the question!
  • If you’re the shy type you could try this one! Buy her favourite chocolates and then write a sweet love note asking her to marry you. Get up early and leave the chocolates and the note on the bedroom pillow beside her.
  • Take a trip to the seaside and treat her to fish and chips. Eat them whilst walking along the sea front (they always taste better in the sea air). Suggest to her that it would be fun to walk bare foot along the sand, find your self a stick and write it in the sand “Will You Marry Me”. She will fall head over heels for you with this idea.
  • When your girlfriend is next taking a steamy hot shower, sneak in and write “Marry Me” on the mirror. I’m sure she will invite you to finish the shower with her.
  • If your girlfriend loves listening to the local radio on the way to work, why propose live on air. Give them a call, local radio stations will usually read messages out on air.
  • Here’s another one for the shy guys out there! Slip the ring and a romantic note, asking her to marry you into her lunch box just before she goes to work. Your phone will be ringing before it gets to 12.05pm.

If you have lots of money to spend on your proposal, why not try:

  • Arrange a trip in a hot air balloon and ask her to marry you as you float through the clouds. How romantic!
  • Phone your girlfriends work and arrange for her to have a few days holiday. Take the euro tunnel to Paris and take her to the Eiffel Tower. Get down on one knee and ask away, I’m sure she will be blown away.
  • Hire a sports car for the weekend and pick your girlfriend up from work on Friday evening. Have her clothes packed and dozen red roses waiting for her, as she leaves work. Now whisk her away for a romantic weekend in the country and propose in that beautiful country hotel.

I hope some of my ideas help you out; if you have other ideas, please leave a comment for other readers.

Good luck and I hope you all get the answer you are looking for! All that’s left to do now is to pick the ring!

Romeo.

my favourite idea was to write a note for every month you have been together describing all the reasons you love her finishing with ” most of all your the one i want to spend the rest of my life with, will you marry”
