Traditional Romantic Gifts

Many of you are probably bored of sending the same old romantic gifts, but why change? Men have been sending flowers for hundreds of years and women still love to receive them!

I have put together a list of the Top Ten traditional romantic gifts and each one of them, is bound to please the lady in your life:

Number 1: Red roses - what better way is there to say ‘I love you’. Roses are a great gift and if you are looking for a bargain gift, a single red rose would be perfect.

Number 2: Chocolates - some say chocolates are better than sex; you may not agree but all of us love to receive chocolates at any time of year.

Number 3: Flowers - say it with flowers! A favourite gift for most women. You don’t have to wait for birthdays/anniversaries; flowers may a great gift at any time of the year.

Number 4: Jewellery - more expensive than the other gifts, but all women love to receive something sparkly. Remember the old saying “diamonds, really are a girl’s best friend”.

Number 5: Teddy bear - if your girlfriend/wife loves anything cute and cuddly, surprise her with am adorable cuddly toy.

Number 6: Lingerie - this is my favourite gift, as you can pick something silky and sexy. Remember to think about what your girlfriend/wife would like to receive and wear; it is easy to get carried away and pick something that you would love to see her in, but your other half may not like it quite as much as you do.

Number 7: Candlelit dinner for two - book yourself into your other half’s favourite restaurant and enjoy a romantic and intimate candlelit dinner for two.

Number 8: Perfume - women love to smell nice, so treat her to her favourite scent. A woman can never have enough smellies.

Number 9: Romantic weekend break - a romantic (or dirty) weekend for two; what could be better. Visit one of the many romantic places on your doorstep in the UK, or jet off to sunnier climes. The perfect gift for you both!

Number 10: Champagne - surprise your other half with a chilled bottle of bubbly. A great gift for any occasion.
